Introducing the Everyone Under the Stars Campaign
The exciting new artistic lighting on the 17th Street Causeway Bridge will dramatically transform this iconic gateway to Fort Lauderdale Beach, making it a must-see destination for residents and visitors alike.
The Broward County Commission approved this $6 million project in late 2023 and committed $2 million in funding. We are proud to introduce the Everyone Under the Stars Campaign, a unifying endeavor for the whole community that will raise the additional $4 million.
When the project is completed in 2027, the bridge will be lit each night from sunset to sunrise, illuminating our region as a welcoming cultural destination for all. Once each hour, there will be a five-minute “light symphony” of changing colors and patterns. Holidays and special occasions will also be commemorated with special lighting designs.
